you're inspiring me to make a table! so cool.
hi Kate, i'm glad it inspired you! let me know how it turns out! :)
i'm into diy & i like the look of your table esp. with those new feet. may i ask where you get them? i'm also inspired to make one like yours.
@ petit purls: the legs are from hairpinlegs.com they are unbelievably strong metal legs. i love them. :)
Lovely table, but I'm in the couch market. May I ask where yours is from?
I bought these legs FOREVER ago and haven't found a use for them (but i love them!) --where did you buy your table top, if I may ask?
This is a beautiful table and I've been wondering where to get legs like these from! Thanks for sharing.
@ kafreen + gretchen: couch is from ikea, as is the table top (it is a kitchen counter top, solid oak + very heavy!@sarah: thanks! and no problem. :)
this table looks amazing...I should really try it out
I love your table. How tall are the legs? 20 inches?
The legs are 14". The table top is 1.5". Table height is at 15.5" which is perfect for Patrick, but it's a bit high for me because I'm shorter... then again, most chairs+furniture are designed for the average height of a man and not a woman. :(
this table is amazing! thanks for sharing. i'm going to order the legs and try to make one!
i absolutely love hairpin furniture. ingenious! i'd like to share this on my blog. :)
Love it! it looks like it came straight from a magazine!
I am obsessed with hairpin legs, except it's so hard to find and expensive in Australia! I'm going to add this to my DIY folder and in the meantime, I'm going to re-blog. thanks for the tips.
i'm in the market for a table that looks JUST LIKE THIS!! i have the legs and i am so happy you said it was an ikea countertop - all things i have quick access to! So excited to build this!
Beautiful! I like the look for sure and I linked this to my coffee tables project post too, for inspiration!
Silvia, just found your site and love what you did. What type of wood did you use? I think you said that it was countertop but can you be more specific? Also, where did you buy it? Lastly, how did you decide the placement of the legs? Thanks so much -- Eric
eric, as i've stated in a reply above, the counter top is from ikea. and the placement of the legs is something you will have to decide on your own. good luck.
Silvia, Thank you so much and sorry I must have skipped the Ikea bit. -- Eric
Hey Silvia, fabulous table! I'm just curious which countertop length you used. There seems to be 49 and 73 inch lengths. Which did you use? Thanks!Chris
