While I love the aesthetic of books stacked up against the wall, I see it as a problem since we are constantly grabbing books off the shelf. So I took some time yesterday to design a low custom shelving unit using off-the-shelf pine wood from the hardware store. It is inspired by Enzo Mari's Autoprogettazione (self-made) and Taku Shinomoto's DIY table. I wanted to build it this weekend but there is rain in the forecast!
